The North American Sustainable Consumption and Production Database is an initiative of the North American Sustainable Consumption Alliance, a strategic partnership of people and organizations who are working to promote more sustainable consumption patterns in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Working together as partners in the Alliance, the following organizations have created and are supporting this innovative Internet resource. Why a database on sustainable consumption and production on North America? The NASCP Database aims at facilitating cooperation among organizations in Canada, United States and Mexico that are interested in promoting sustainable consumption and production. For the first time, Internet users can access a single website to find information about sustainable consumption and production initiatives and programmes throughout North America. The Database is also intended as a resource for citizens to learn about projects or initiatives that they can support, join, or replicate in their own community. The Database currently contains over 200 entries for initiatives and programmes that address a wide range of important issues such as Advertising & Marketing, Children & Youth, Cleaner Production, Consumer Products, Lifestyle Choices, Organic Products, Poverty, Procurement, Tourism, Trade, Transport, and Waste. The broad diversity of initiatives, projects, and programmes featured in the Database highlights the willingness in North America to move toward sustainable consumption and production patterns. How can my project or initiative be included in the database? If you have not yet registered your organization's sustainable consumption and production activities in the Database, there is still time!! You can submit your activity on our website by clicking the button below. | ||
